We have partnered with an industry leader in Distribution, who is an Accountant for the Finance team. This is a remote based role with opportunities to work in Edmonton or from Calgary.

This position works closely with the Controller, AP team in Edmonton and AR team in Calgary. In conjunction to managing full cycle accounting functions and preparing financial reports.

Job Highlights:

• Assist with preparation of financial statements, trial balances, income statements, profit and loss, and other operational reports directed by Leadership team
• Preparation of monthly reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, journal entries and other ad hocs.
• Compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) regulation
• Investigating discrepancies to resolve and implement action plans to avoid errors going forward
• Other tasks as assigned

What we look for:

• Experience with SAGE 50 and/or JD Edwards
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Pursuing CPA designation is an asset
• Minimum 2 years of full cycle accounting experience
• Strong communication skills
• Detail oriented and high attention to detail

Hours/Compensation:

• Monday- Friday; 8:00AM- 4:30PM
• $65,000/year to $70,000/year
• Work from home, remote; Full Time, Permanent
