In this role, you are part of the Winnipeg database development team. You work in a collaborative manner with other developers, architects, development teams and other stakeholders. You will be providing technical expertise and will work with teams to enhance current data models. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are an asset to accurately present complex information to all levels, influence, gain cooperation and lead project planning and technology discussions. Experience with Azure would be beneficial but not required.

As a Database Administrator, Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of database structure and data in source control
  • SQL Server database development (creating and modifying scripts and database objects
  • Database manipulation and extractions.
  • Analyzing SQL queries for performance improvements.
  • Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database development, security, and management.
  • May direct the following: troubleshooting, recovery, tuning of the database, software installation and upgrades, resolving errors and failures, auditing activities, and resource utilization.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
  • A strong background as a SQL developer
  • Experience in database design and data modeling
