The Team

The Wealth Data team within the Global Wealth Engineering (GWE) team is key area in meeting the operational data needs of the various stake holders within Wealth Management.

The Data BSA will be a key resource in sourcing the data from the core wealth systems and transforming the data to meet the business objectives. Working on multiple projects; the candidate will be a key member to identify the data sources and apply business logic to meet consumers needs. Working on multiple projects, the candidate will work with POs, data engineers and architects and subject matter experts in the entire life cycle of data from sourcing to processing to distribution to consumers.


Is this role right for you?

  • Analyzes & acquires data from primary and secondary data sources – creating mapping specifications for use by development resources
  • Participate in detailed discovery of data from the source, mapping the data to the data model after thorough analysis.
  • Work with Product Owners and Business representatives to understand requirements, create stories and specs and groom developers and QAs accordingly.
  • Evaluation of data identified from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and classification of data in logical categories
  • Work with development team to design solutions for API, Batch etc. Participate in technical design sessions, working with technical resources, to provide insight during solution development
  • Build expertise in various data domains and take ownership of assigned data domains and be a single point of contact
  • Documents, plans for collection, data cleansing, and normalization of data
  • Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats


Do you have the skills?

  • Ideally 7+ years’ experience in technical system analysis within a development team.
  • Highly analytical and good understanding of databases, technical architecture, and query tools
  • Experience in working with SQL and NoSQL tools
  • Advance knowledge of writing complex SQL queries
  • Advanced skills using Excel spreadsheet and VBA.
  • Ideally some hands-on experience in ETL work and knowledge of ETL tools
  • Ability to effectively convey ideas to business and technical teams
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, Scala etc much desirable
  • Knowledge of data streaming and technologies such as Kafka, Spark-streaming etc. is an asset
  • Experience working in Agile/ Lean delivery teams
  • Ability to adapt and quickly adjust to change
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Should be a team player and work collaboratively
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Previous experience in Wealth management and/or banking systems highly desirable
