To succeed in this role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. If you think you can participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, this role might be right for you. This position is ideal for someone with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.Responsibilities- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
- Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
- Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
- Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
- Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
- Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable
- Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
- Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
- Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
- Take part in various department-wide initiatives
- Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
- 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
- Competent with spreadsheets and databases
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
- Solid understanding of Prepare Financial Statements
- Foundational knowledge in budget forecasting
- Command of variance analysis
- Adeptness in Cash Flow Forecasts
- Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
- Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
