Marketing Coordinator

Position Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor Design and Multimedia, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the execution of design briefs by designing marketing collateral and taking the same through approval to production and delivery in a timely and cost-effective manner. Liaise with other product marketing colleagues, sales staff and outside agencies as needed.

Performance Expectations
  • Marketing collateral design and delivery in accordance with appropriate briefs
  • Utilize appropriate computer based platforms and software to design and develop publish ready artwork and files
  • Liaise with other marketing personnel, including product marketing to ensure material is technically accurate
  • Manage and drive the appropriate approvals process to ensure accuracy and policy compliance
  • Ensure Brand guidelines are followed
  • Keep informed of new techniques and best practices to ensure that material meets Customer needs
  • Supports Marketing Communications Manager, Product Managers, Sales staff and other departments with current information as required
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements
  • Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors
  • Support and maintain department lean initiatives
  • Perform other duties/tasks as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • One to three years of work related experience preferably in an industrial marketing or B2B environment
  • A Marketing design certificate, Diploma or Degree
Desired Characteristics
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Premiere and other video editing software considered a strong asset
  • Basic working knowledge of website content management platforms
  • Experience with social media administration and analytics tools
  • Proven ability to design, develop and implement marketing design briefs via portfolio presentation
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a variety of people at all levels
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and in a fast paced and ever-changing environment
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical and business concepts and express them in clear and effective terms
  • Strong Project Management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Thorough understanding of branding principles
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work with and manipulate, large amounts of data
  • Ability to create and suggest new ways to use data being analyzed
