Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Area Director, the Quality Coordinator works with a high degree of independence to plan, lead, coordinate and evaluate quality improvement and patient safety initiatives in Continuing Care throughout the Central Zone. As a key leader in the development and promotion of best practice in safe and quality care, the Senior Quality Consultant develops, coordinates and facilitates the provision of quality improvement services (including knowledge translation activities related to QI) at the site, sector and zone level related to Continuing Care. Through collaboration and consultation with stakeholders including but not limited to Zone operations, Continuing Care leadership, Seniors SCN, Internal Audit, and Provincial Continuing Care, this position is responsible for the key areas of: Facilitating the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives related to service improvement, patient safety and accreditation. Coordination and oversight of knowledge translation/implementation related to quality improvement. Influencing culture change through continual representation of the quality management body of knowledge in all interactions inclusive of leadership through to front line teams. Influencing change management approaches in development and implementation of programs and improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for working with stakeholders inclusive of leadership and front line teams to support integration of quality improvement activities to promote effective, efficient use of resources across the spectrum of Continuing Care. This position will be integral in providing. The ideal candidate for this position lives in Camrose or surrounding area.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field. Well versed in the Continuing Care health service standards. Strong understanding of Continuing Care (Long Term Care, Supportive Living, Home Care).

Additional Required Qualifications:

5-7 years in Continuing Care environment with broad knowledge of the Continuing Care system. Experience facilitating improvement activities/initiatives and knowledge or ability to scale/spread. Proficiency in MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook. Ability to work with limited supervision, high degree of independence. Strong/exceptional communication skills; both verbal and written. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple competing demands. Experience in educational plan development and delivery of content, working with adult learners. Leadership skills including demonstrated comfort with decision making and collaboration to inspire and influence change. Advanced skillset in data and evaluation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Health Informatics, Quality Improvement, Standards, Auditing. Understanding analytics. Case Management experience. Understanding of the resident assessment tools (RAI).
