WHAT TO EXPECT

Our accounting team is looking for a Controller who is looking for a new challenge within a small to medium sized company that serves large clients. You will be responsible for our accounting team. You will also be in charge of the entire month-end process and act as a resource person during the annual audit. We are looking for someone with a good ability to grasp needs quickly in a fast-paced environment. You will also have to maintain harmonious business relations, since you will be in contact with several stakeholders (Soucy Group head office, external auditors, etc…)

Here’s an overview of your tasks:

  • Participate in the management of all accounting transactions
  • Supervise the accounting team
  • Manage the month-end process and prepare monthly financial statements
  • Analyze the profitability of various investment projects and perform various cost analyses
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual budget
  • Prepare the various grant applications
  • Prepare the annual audit file and act as a resource person during the annual visit of the external auditors
  • Implement performance management and monitoring tools
  • Participate in the implementation of a new ERP (SAP) and other special projects
  • Assist the financial director

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA accounting designation
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office software, especially Excel
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Rigor, analytical skills, leadership and autonomy are desired qualities
  • Ability to manage several files simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of Power BI is an asset
