Job Description:

The Contracting & Licensing Associate provides accurate and timely support, coaching, and administration of contracting processes, and is responsible for establishing and maintaining personal information across the Sun Life Financial Distribution (SLFD) channel. We work closely with advisors, District leaders & Staff, Compliance, recruiting and selection teams, and other internal business partners to provide technical and procedural advice with excellent client service on a daily basis. And we play keys role in supporting Contracting & Licensing projects/initiatives, and documenting and implementing new processes inline with evolving Business and Regulatory changes.

Main Accountabilities:
  • Provide expertise and excellent customer service through handling inquires related to life licensing and mutual fund registration from SLFD, provincial regulators, commission staff and other internal partners
  • Support Advisors, Managers and financial centre staff with acquiring the educational proficiency requirements needed to apply for life licensing and mutual fund registration course enrolments
  • Process and assist with renewals for life licensing and mutual fund registration for SLFD advisors and staff members
  • Issue advisor agreements and rep codes for approved registrations
  • Assist with mutual fund registration and licensing projects as needed
  • Ensure current advisor and financial centre information is up to date and maintained on head office systems and regulator databases (AMF and NRD)
  • Establish and maintain advisor information in our systems
  • Identify and document process improvement opportunities

Assets:
  • Knowledge of Sun Life Financial Distribution structure
  • Previous experience working with a wealth or insurance channel
  • System knowledge of M2, EIM, and Salesforce
  • Knowledge of Life Insurance industry

Notes/Unique Requirements:
  • Overtime will be required during peak periods driven by workload

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
