Construction Superintendent

The Opportunity:

We are currently looking to add a Construction Superintendent to our growing team, reporting to our construction manager. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing projects in conjunction with teams and stakeholders to ensure scouting, surveying, construction and clean-up activities are executed in a safe, efficient and cost effective process.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee the construction process and are responsible for overall construction activities. Which includes scouting, surveying and working with area asset teams, drilling, completions, and engineering and production operations
  • Prepare job costs and execution plans to area asset team that accurately represents the scope of work
  • Attend weekly team meetings to discuss budgets, schedules and planning.
  • Promote and manage a safety culture outlined by our safety management framework both in the field and in office
  • Ensure all documents and approvals are recorded, tracked and managed in accordance with all regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Work with supply management teams pertaining to all construction activities and services
  • Provides support for water sourcing projects and pumping operations. Provides support to remediation, abandonment and reclamation projects

  • Job location: Calgary, AB
  • Eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Relocation Regular Policy
  • Shift schedule: 5 x 2, Monday to Friday, 8-hours shifts
  • This is a safety sensitive position

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of earthworks construction experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Construction superintendent experience preferred
