We are searching for an energetic Concept Realization Manager. In this role, you will manage and coordinate all activities related to the creation of early concept parts and processes in support of technology and product development plans. You will closely collaborate with Technology, Product Development, Program Management, and Operations groups to bring new products to the market.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Develop a team culture that creates value for internal and external customers while building and modeling the Guiding Principles (above)
  • Lead, grow, and develop a high-performance team of 8 to 12 individuals spanning the Machine Shop Manager, CNC Machinists, Prototyping Specialists, and 3D Printing Technologists
  • Take ownership of concept realization including rapid prototyping, new process development, and resources for new electric motor, gearboxes, and actuator design concepts; and align them to support GRMT’s technology and product development activities
  • Partner with key functions throughout the company and build prototypes that support Genesis’ new product lines
  • Manage deliverables on multiple projects in parallel, while escalating conflicting priorities
  • Deliver components, sub-assemblies, or products on-time to meet project requirements
  • Creatively use technical experience and expertise to achieve functional results within intended framework of goals and schedules Manage work orders, machinery, and supplies; allocate resources effectively
  • Learn, understand, and practice MBM Principles (listed in the introduction) daily with your team and peer group
  • Drive continuous improvement activities within the concept realization area
  • Model best practices for safety and compliance at all times

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements

  • A sense of urgency to complete multiple projects in a timely manner
  • Capable of dealing with conflicting priorities
  • Solid understanding of fixturing, tooling, and basic mechanical processes
  • Strong ability to organize work, motivate team members, plan resources, and monitor execution to plan
  • 5+ years of experience in a role with direct leadership responsibilities
  • Experience in Manufacturing Engineering for electromechanical assemblies
  • Engineering degree or technical diploma in a related discipline
  • Experience in a product development and prototyping environment
  • Willingness to work hands-on as needed
  • Proficient with MS Office and common software applications

What Will Put You Ahead

  • A detailed understanding of electric motors, gear boxes, and/or other electro-mechanical systems, coupled with a natural curiosity and aptitude for creating products
  • Experience with manufacturing and/or assembly of electric motors or gearboxes
