We have an opening for an Commercial Account Administrator to join our Commercial Lines Department at our branch office in St. John’s, NL.

Job Summary

Processing all paperwork relating to new policies, renewals and endorsements, to support Insurance Advisors, Account Managers and Account Executives. Evaluate risks on an individual basis, verify all underwriting rules are followed (if licensed), and other administrative duties as pertains to specific branch needs.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support (invoicing, account management and general support)
  • Process new business and renewals - entry and activation, data entry, reviewing incoming paperwork in timely manner
  • Assist team by with preparation and/or analysis of reports, accessing data within EPIC and gathering information from company portals.
  • Provide customers with prompt service by providing advice, help customers understand insurance, discuss customer concerns
  • Assist with quotes to customers, review existing coverage and update customer file information
  • Complete and file all correspondence pertaining to Commercial Lines.
  • Ensuring proper coverage and accurate billing
  • Contacting companies for minor changes to documents as needed
  • Managing sub-brokers and may include back-up duties for other administrative duties and
Skills And Experience
  • High School and/or Post-Secondary Education
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in an office environment
  • Newfoundland Insurance License required or willing to obtain
  • Strong customer focus
  • Computer skills - Keyboarding and MS Office
  • Exposure to Epic is an asset
  • Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Conscientious and able to maintain confidentiality
