The Ministry of Children and Family Development is responsible for the delivery of programs and services that support positive and healthy outcomes for children, youth, young adults and their families across the province. The Service Delivery Division provides services that are accessible, inclusive and culturally respectful, with approximately 4000 employees working in 200 community offices and 24/7 facilities across the province. The Strategic Planning, Performance and Engagement Branch supports the division’s executive team with strategic and business planning, performance management and reporting, and internal communications and engagement.

Reporting to the Director, the Communication Analyst provides a range of professional communications services and expertise, including writing and editorial services, graphic design, communications planning and research, facilitation and event management. Job Requirements:

  • Certificate or diploma in a related field, such as communications, public relations, graphic design, writing, marketing, journalism or English, and
  • Minimum of one year’s experience developing a variety of communication materials, such as presentations, reports, speaking notes, web content, or newsletters, OR
  • An equivalent combination of related training, education and experience may be considered

Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:

  • Two or more years of experience creating a variety of professional communications materials, in plain language and/or visually.
  • Graphic design and/or data visualization training or experience.
  • Experience developing communications materials for employees working in flexible/hybrid and/or geographically dispersed work environments.
  • Self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, status or non-status, Métis, or Inuit) with the required combination of education and experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, such as communications, public relations, graphic design, marketing or journalism.
  • Experience developing communications materials for the social sector or a social service organization.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
There is currently (1) permanent position available.
