Cloud Architect

The Cloud Architect position could be based in Atlanta, Georgia or Toronto, Ontario G+D Mobile Security’s industry leading eSIM management technologies provide for the remote lifecycle administration of mobile devices, credentials and data. In the IoT and Smart Wearables markets, G+D Mobile Security partners with established enterprise players and innovative start-ups to deliver the highest level of security to the ecosystem. Responsibilities:

• Help G+D to transform from a classical data center deployment into a modern private cloud, scalable in to hybrid clouds
• Create the blueprint and architecture of G+Ds tomorrow’s platform End2End
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines into the private cloud landscape
• Transform G+D service applications into modern architecture fitting the future private cloud
• Guide and interwork with the teams (devops/gitops) on the cloud architecture and ways of working
• Reporting to management about the progress and future of the platform
• Constantly optimize costs and efficiency of the future platform

Requirements:

• Degree either in computer science, engineering sciences, physics or comparable fields of expertise
• 5 years of relevant experience in cloud technologies, applicable for a public cloud environment (preferably MS Azure) as well as experience in taking the cloud journey from a classical deployment into cloud.
• Must have extensive design and deployment to be able to transform from a classical data centre deployment into a modern private cloud, scalable in to hybrid clouds
• Good know-how in networking, infrastructure, databases, data centers, web technologies
• Knowledge in Agile/SAFe ways of working facilitating common tools like JIRA
• Good experience in secure deployment of services in cloud environment
• Experience in telecommunication industry and ITIL framework is preferred
• Strong communications skills towards devops/gitops team and management
• Fluent English skills (written and verbal)
