Family Justice Services Division (FJSD) delivers programs and services that promote the timely and just resolution of family disputes within a comprehensive family justice system. Through community-based Family Justice Centres and Justice Access Centres, FJSD provides various in-person and virtual programs and services, including initial needs determination, dispute resolution, Section 211 Family Law Act reports, and Parenting After Separation online courses.

The Program Administrator provides support to program management and staff and coordinates program business administration functions, human resources, payroll, records management, and facilities/asset management as required specific to Family Justice Services Division.

This role is assigned a variety of program administration and HR coordination responsibilities in the areas of recruitment, onboarding, pay and benefit administration, training, policy/practice review, and tracking activities.

The Program Administrator participates in initiatives and committee work related to employee engagement, organizational development, and workforce planning that enable the division to continuously improve and contribute to branch and ministry goals.



Job Requirements:

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years administrative support services experience for a group of staff.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:

  • More years of administrative support services experience for a group of staff.
  • Experience in an administrative role supporting a small to mid-size organization specifically in program administration and human resources.
  • Certificate, diploma or degree in administration, human resources, or related field.
  • Six months or more demonstrated management, supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience working in a public sector or unionized environment.
  • Experience developing and implementing office procedures and policies.
  • Applicants who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations status or non-status, Inuit and/or Metis), with the required combination of education and experience.

Willingness Statement:

  • Must be willing to travel. Occasional travel may be required (e.g., training, meetings, etc.). Transportation arrangements must meet operational requirements.

There is currently a temporary opportunity available until May 10, 2024, this temporary opportunity may be extended or become permanent.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to three (3) days at home per week as per the Telework Agreement.
