The communications and information management team is responsible for staff engagement, communications and media relations. This business area within the office of the assistant deputy minister also supports privacy and informationsharing to support staff in the collection, use, and disclosure of information in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

This role provides administrative and communications support to the Director, Strategic Communications and Information Management and the Director, Capital Projects. Duties include providing communications, graphics and editing support, administration of Freedom of Information requests, as well as the coordination of correspondence, office administrative functions, human resources, payroll, records management, facilities, and asset management.

Job Requirements

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
  • Post-secondary education or coursework in English, business English or technical and professional correspondence, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience coordinating and processing all aspects of correspondence in an Executive level office.
  • Experience in developing, editing, drafting and producing a wide variety of written documents.
  • Experience in copy editing and proofreading documents.
  • Experience with business-related software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and electronic correspondence tracking system (e.g. CLIFF, e-Approvals).
