Who we need

Our Claims team has a one-year contract opportunity for a customer-service-focused Claims Administrator. Working with both the internal team and customers, you will rapidly respond to inquiries by email, fax, and telephone. You will be a key player on the team, ensuring all incoming and outgoing information is distributed to the appropriate contact and that any follow-up is completed in a timely manner.

What’s in it for you

There is endless opportunity to learn the industry, the processes and roles of the team members, how everyone collaborates and comes together to serve our customers. You will work for an easy-going, supportive manager on a close-knit energetic team. You will have the chance to make an impact on our service levels and potentially extend your contract or move into a different area of the business.

What you will do

  • Manage inbox. You will stay on top of a busy inbox, filing, forwarding, downloading, and achieving correspondence as needed. You will print, scan, and index images as required.
  • Act as a backup. You will assist the mailroom clerk by sorting, distributing and mailing letters and scanning indexing for various teams.
  • Review claims. You will confirm coverage and set up claims from third-party administrators (TPA). You will document applicable notes and set follow-up reminders accordingly. You will handle all intakes involving the TPA.
  • Track and process. You will receive work items from adjudicators and set them up in the system for payment. You will request and process invoices. You will track customer information from business partners required for credit claims processing.
  • Ensure compliance. You will verify and track incoming correspondence to comply with Payment Card Industry (PCI) requirements.
  • Support. You will be the point of contact for the team, answering questions and assisting the team with inquiries and other related matters. You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s products and services.

What you bring

  • The experience. You have 2+ years of work experience in a customer service and administrative role. Experience in the insurance industry is an asset. You are highly proficient with email, fax machines, and scanners/printers. You have experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • The organizational skills. You are highly analytical and can work autonomously, make decisions, and take ownership of your deliverables. You are deadline-oriented, can operate with a sense of urgency, and are driven by the need to make the lives of others easier.
  • The communication skills. You have excellent written and verbal skills and strong attention to detail. You can remain calm during times of stress or conflict, and you are comfortable communicating by phone or email with stakeholders at any level.

If you have 70% of the qualifications we are looking for and this sounds like a place you belong, we encourage you to express your interest. We can’t promise it will be a fit, but we do promise to consider your experience. Apply now.
