We’re searching for a Claims Administrator to work for a reputable logistics and transportation company in North-West Winnipeg. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who has some background in claims management and transportation background.

The Claims Administrator is responsible for investigating and processing assigned company commercial insurance claims. The selected candidate will be working closely with their Safety, Fleet & Operations departments in providing commercial trucking claims service and support here in Winnipeg!

Responsibilities
  • Coordinating and handling all internal claim investigations and communicating the findings to the customer/vendor
  • Verifying/analyzing applicable coverage for the loss and administering the financial aspects of assigned claims including reserves, cost allocation, and processing loss payments
  • Negotiating, settling, and resolving motor vehicle accident claims, cargo, and property loss with adjusters, claimants, customers and third parties
  • Receiving and reviewing incident reports and claim investigation materials
  • Coordinating with the Fleet Department, repair facilities, recovery companies, and Operations Teams
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate would have some Claims and Transportation knowledge/background.
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills required
  • Proven ability to problem solve, work independently and be self-motivated
  • good negotiation skills and a customer service focus
  • Proficient in MS Office with a focus on Excel
  • Must be able to type 40 WPM
  • Reliable mode of transportation required as workplace is NOT on a reliable Public Transit route
