What you can expect to do here:

  • You’ll perform full-time on-site inspection for municipal construction projects;
  • You’ll carry a positive attitude towards safety, quality and the environment;
  • You’ll read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure conformance during construction;
  • You’ll assist in the development of conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs and drawings for the full range of civil/municipal infrastructure including water distribution, sanitary sewer collection systems, storm water management, roadway systems, etc.
  • You’ll support the day-to-day activities of projects from inception through engineering, construction and contract administration;
  • You’ll prepare technical reports and opinions of probable cost; and
  • You’ll be managing relationships with internal and external clients and ensuring that their needs are understood and met, providing your guidance and expertise;
What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology preferred;
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience;
  • Experience working in a consulting environment would be considered an asset;
  • Thorough working ability with Civil 3D and AutoCAD software with above average drawing production capabilities, would be considered an asset;
  • Ability to complete quantity take-offs;
  • Develop engineering drawings packages in accordance with standards and best practices;
  • Ability to effectively communicate and thrive in team environments;
  • Proficient at multi-tasking and work diligently to meet time-sensitive deadlines;
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites; and
  • Eager to learn and develop.
