• Maintaining dispatcher Training records as per CASS and maintaining Flight Dispatch Operations Manual cross compliance within the SMS and CARs Framework
• Managing staffing levels based on the seasonality of our operation and forecasting attrition levels for effective hiring plan.
• Develop training courseware based on Transport Canada approved DOM and providing training
• Act as a dispatcher to maintain currency and administer competency check on behalf of transport Canada
• Implement new and innovative solutions (software and procedures) to optimize dispatch capabilities and create fuel efficiency plans.
• Liaising with external partners that may affect operations

The following qualifications, experience, and attributes are preferred:

• 7-10 years experience as a Flight Dispatcher
• 5-7 years supervisory/ Managerial experienceS
• Flight Dispatcher certification and Radio License
• Strong knowledge of software interdependencies.
• Be able to demonstrate a strong technical knowledge of international aviation regulations
• Be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Sunwing Airlines policies and procedures.
• Have strong technical written and verbal communication skills.
• Have demonstrated capability for managing complex problems in a dynamic aviation environment.
• A proven track record of working constructively with a variety of airline stakeholders and external vendors and suppliers.
