Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Summary: Tabor Home strives to provide quality care in a compassionate, faith based, home environment for those requiring long term care. We have transitioned into a new building and care for 100 residents.

The Opportunity: To become the Chief Executive Officer of an organization caring for its’ for residents in collaboration with our faith constituencies, local community and with Southern Health Santé Sud. This position is appointed by and reports regularly to the Board of Directors. You would promote an atmosphere focused on providing the best quality of care and endorsing the Tabor Home vision to our residents, staff, physicians, clergy and volunteers. This position requires positive leadership, vision, strategic planning skills and excellent communication. Competencies the Board values are to be client focused, having an awareness of diversity, being adaptable, having interpersonal skills, developing yourself and others, problem solving, organizing well and integrity. The ability to work within a team is a requirement. The CEO supervises and directs all aspects of Tabor Home.

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in health care field or suitable combination of post-secondary education and health care experience relevant to the position
  • Current registration with professional association as applicable
  • Minimum 5 years management experience in a health care setting
  • Demonstrated managerial ability
  • Demonstrated communication abilities, both written and oral
  • Knowledge and experience in regional and LTC policy and procedures
  • Experience in employee and labor relations
  • Good physical and mental health to meet the demands of the position
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with staff
  • All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with Tabor Home policy
  • Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required
  • Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
  • Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other medium.
  • Good work and attendance record

Conditions of Employment:
  • Completes and maintains a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
  • All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with Southern Health-Santé Sud policy.
