CASUAL EDUCATION ASSISTANT

The Burnaby School District is currently seeking Casual Education Assistants to join
our dedicated and motivated team. This position provides support for students in
the classroom, around the school, and within the community.

The incumbent will be responsible for providing support in the following areas:
behaviour management, curriculum implementation, social skills development,
personal care, and physical assistance.

Successful candidates must have: successful completion of a recognized program
in special needs assistance; one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent
combination of training and/or experience.

The following will be considered strong assets:
American Sign Language
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
Thorough knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder or experience working

with children with Autism.
