Machine Shop – CAD/CAM Programmer
Create & improve – CNC Programs for new & existing products
Manage – Program files and documentation
Quality – Ensure work is consistent and to specification
Adamson Systems Engineering is a mixed mode manufacturer with a strong focus on integration of product technologies, located in beautiful Port Perry Ontario. The machine shop team comprises CNC machinists, operators, programmers, skilled metal workers and material handlers performing laser, punch and form. Machine shop is a key component of our high-tech manufacturing environment designed with lean assembly principals throughout, featuring, PCB/SMT placement, CNC wood routers, powder/wet spray coating, pressing and assembly operations.
Responsibilities:
- Create and Optimize CNC programs
- Determine machining operations with respect to sequence and time
- Plan and implement production of parts and products, including fixture design
- Review and improve programs for current product range
- Liaise with R&D to program and produce prototypes
- File management
- Implement design and process improvements
- Analyze product specifications/customer requirements to determine the best methods, process and practice
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a machine shop
- Must be a Canadian citizen or PR
- Program CNC machines with Inventor CAM & Striker
- Broad knowledge of CNC machine tools
- Solid communication skills
- Fluency in AUTOCAD and MasterCam
- Detail oriented and organized
Preferred:
- Problem solving acumen
- Knowledge and experience with preventive maintenance
- Experience in a multi faceted machine shop
- Required experience: 5+ years of experience supporting designer & drafting efforts for new product design.
