Coastal Community is committed to improving financial health, enriching lives and building healthier communities. We are looking for a Business Relationship Manager.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Business Relationship Manager, a commercial lender, will have the ability to connect with individuals inside and outside the organization, using existing and new centers of influence, and representing the organization to members, clients, the public, and other external sources.

The Business Relationship Managerwill also monitor commercial loans in an assigned portfolio and ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, checks and balances. They will initiate action to generate growth and development of their portfolio, pursue new business opportunities, develop and nurture strong relationships with our business members and prospects as well as initiate action on delinquencies to mitigate risk of loss.

Requirements

A degree in Business Management or relevant post secondary education and have 2 years commercial lending experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The candidate will have broad experience in all aspects of commercial lending, strong business development skills, portfolio administration; monitoring and delinquency control.

In addition, our preferred candidate will have advanced skills in each of the following:

  • Sound commercial credit and underwriting skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and financial statements including cash flow analysis
  • Strong decision making abilities
  • Effective networking within the community
  • Creative thinking, analysis and problem solving
  • Business development and negotiating financial partnerships
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Communication and interpersonal skills

The Business Relationship Manager will be able to develop collaborative, positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and will be a team player. This individual will also be a self-learner with high motivation and willingness to engage in continuous learning and self-development opportunities.

The salary range for this role fits within this career band. Individual job salary range will vary within the career band, based on the skills and requirements of the job posting.

Full Time annual salary range based on 37.50 hour work week.
