ABOUT THE ROLE*
Join our team and experience a rewarding and challenging work environment with skilled and supportive teammates. Our Edmonton Location is currently accepting resumes from dedicated and energetic individuals who are looking for a career as a Business Manager.
As a core member you will be responsible for produces additional revenue for Calmont Truck Centre by selling vehicle finance and insurance programs and other appropriate after-sale items to businesses and individuals in accordance with established profit and customer satisfaction guidelines.
Other job duties will include:
Finance and Insurance Operations
- Sells financing and credit, lift, accident, and health insurance to customers.
- provides customers with thorough explanation of aftermarket products and extended warranties
- Converts cash deals to finance.
- Seeks new lending institutions and maintains good working relationships with several finance sources to secure competitive interest rates and financing programs.
- Processes finance and lease deals accurately and fairly through financial sources to secure approval.
- Conducts business in an ethical and professional manner.
- Processes all federal, provincial and dealer paperwork related to vehicle transaction.
- Understands and complies with federal, provincial, and local regulations that affect the new and used vehicle and finance departments.
- Completes paperwork necessary for vehicle sales, leases and rentals in a timely and efficient manner.
- Checks all paperwork for correct title, lien information, taxes, etc., before forwarding to accounting.
- provides customers with complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies.
Lease Operations
- Develops proposals for businesses requesting lease bids
- Helps salespeople close lease deals when necessary
- Processes all leasing documentation and related paperwork and maintains complete records for all lease transactions.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, provincial, and local regulations that affect leasing and lease advertising.
- Computes leasing charges, based on such factors as length of contract, anticipated mileage, and applicable taxes.
- Prepares and sends leasing contracts to the appropriate party.
- Other duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
RequirementsDESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Energetic and friendly demeanor, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum of five year(s) of related automotive finance, leasing and insurance experience.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and organize workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with the drive to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills with the desire to exceed customer’s expectations.
- Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience.
- Effective negotiation, persuasion, and listening skills to facilitate successful resolution of concerns.
- Full working understanding of finance and insurance process
- Proficient in reading/interpreting financial statements.
