ABOUT THE ROLE*

As a core member you will be responsible for produces additional revenue for Calmont Truck Centre by selling vehicle finance and insurance programs and other appropriate after-sale items to businesses and individuals in accordance with established profit and customer satisfaction guidelines.

Other job duties will include:

Finance and Insurance Operations

  • Sells financing and credit, lift, accident, and health insurance to customers.
  • provides customers with thorough explanation of aftermarket products and extended warranties
  • Converts cash deals to finance.
  • Seeks new lending institutions and maintains good working relationships with several finance sources to secure competitive interest rates and financing programs.
  • Processes finance and lease deals accurately and fairly through financial sources to secure approval.
  • Conducts business in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Processes all federal, provincial and dealer paperwork related to vehicle transaction.
  • Understands and complies with federal, provincial, and local regulations that affect the new and used vehicle and finance departments.
  • Completes paperwork necessary for vehicle sales, leases and rentals in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Checks all paperwork for correct title, lien information, taxes, etc., before forwarding to accounting.
  • provides customers with complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies.

Lease Operations

  • Develops proposals for businesses requesting lease bids
  • Helps salespeople close lease deals when necessary
  • Processes all leasing documentation and related paperwork and maintains complete records for all lease transactions.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, provincial, and local regulations that affect leasing and lease advertising.
  • Computes leasing charges, based on such factors as length of contract, anticipated mileage, and applicable taxes.
  • Prepares and sends leasing contracts to the appropriate party.
  • Other duties as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
RequirementsDESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Energetic and friendly demeanor, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of five year(s) of related automotive finance, leasing and insurance experience.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and organize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the drive to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the desire to exceed customer’s expectations.
  • Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Effective negotiation, persuasion, and listening skills to facilitate successful resolution of concerns.
  • Full working understanding of finance and insurance process
  • Proficient in reading/interpreting financial statements.
