The impact you’ll have:


As a key member of our Demand Generation Team, the team of Business Development Representative’s (BDRs) are responsible for expanding our customer base. This team leverages prospecting strategies to initiate marketing campaign outreach to clients and prospects. The goal is to further understand the customer needs and to connect the customer with our sales team. The BDR team has a direct impact on sales pipeline.


A successful Business Development Representativethrives in cross-functional roles working alongside sales, marketing, and leadership; taking the initiative to better understand our customer conversations and pain points. The BDR team is the bridge between our marketing campaigns and sales.


What you’ll do:


  • Maintaining active engagement with new and existing leads for our IBM business through creative follow-up communications designed to increase customer interest in Softchoice’s services and offerings.
  • Achieving monthly/quarterly quotas of qualified opportunities for IBM.
  • Conducting high level conversations with senior executives and IT leaders.
  • Researching and enrich new and existing accounts (i.e. adding contacts, sending emails, strategic calling).
  • Cold and warm calls at all levels, including senior executive levels to engage early in the buying process to discover prospect needs.
  • Creating a great first impression to our prospects and customers by providing them with a world class experience.

What you’ll bring to the table:


  • Not afraid to break ground on new relationships and skillfully overcome challenges with customers and team members.
  • An effective, metric-driven individual with a proven track record of success.
  • Able to recognize the importance of creating an ideal experience for our sales team, by making yourself available to them, and providing clear context on leads and customer requests.
  • Hungry to continuously learning about the ever-changing world of enterprise technology.
  • Full of confidence and business acumen, with exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Minimum 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience (B2B considered an asset).
  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft Office (Work, and Excel).
  • Sales background in technology is considered asset.
  • Salesforce or CRM experience also considered an asset.
