GreenStep Solutions is seeking a self-starting, bilingual (English and French) and high-energy individual with a passion for sustainability to help us deliver programs and services around energy efficiency and energy conservation for small and mid-sized businesses. The ideal candidate will have experience, understanding, and adeep interest in energy efficiency and conservation.

The job will include working directly in the field with small and medium-sized businesses in British Columbia, to deliver onsite and virtual energy assessments and energy efficiency education visits, to help these entities to conserve energy, reduce their environmental impacts, and cut costs.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Be available for work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Site visits and phone calls to small and medium sized businesses to provide energy efficiency education, undertake assessments of opportunities for energy efficiency, and supporting businesses in the rebate application process
• Compiling results of assessments and formulating recommendations for improved energy efficiency, conservation, and cost savings
• Communicating results with customers
• Reporting to the project team and program administration support

Knowledge and skills required:

Training will be provided to the right individual, but the following knowledge and skills will be an asset:

• 2-3 years of demonstrated experience with Level 1 and Level 2 energy audits.
• Understanding of how to communicate about energy and energy efficiency
• Demonstrated interest and enthusiasm related to energy efficiency (work/volunteer experience)
• A keen interest in and understanding of sustainability issues
• Excellent oral and written business communications skills
• Customer service/sales
• Familiarity and knowledge of energy-efficient technologies
• Experience using G Suite

Education Required:
You must possess a degree in a STEM or business field, and have additional education or experience in the following areas:

• Engineering
• Sustainability
• Demand-Side Energy Efficiency & Conservation
• Energy Management

Applicants must also possess a valid BC driver’s license and will be required to use their vehicle.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
