We are a growing company, currently seeking dedicated, adaptable individuals to join Grimco. Grimco is a national wholesale sign supply manufacturer and distributor that has been around for over 145 years with 50+ locations in the United States, 8 in Canada, and recent expansion into the United Kingdom.This role is located at Grimco Corporate Richmond Hill with the scheduled hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday.Responsibilities:

• Ensure the timely collection of receivables and manage assigned customer accounts.
• Set up new customer accounts and extend credit to customers based on company policy.
• Work closely with other A/R team members and managers to respond to credit and collection concerns with existing and potential customers.
• Daily posting deposits, EFT, and POS Slips.
• Analyze delinquent accounts and prepare monthly reports on highest risk accounts including recommendations for resolutions.
• Notify customers of overdue payments and accounts by telephone, mail, and registered mail, and follow up as required.
• Resolve collection issues by making payment arrangements by telephone or e-mail to customer.
• Recommend discontinuation of service in cases where payment is not forthcoming.
• Answer correspondence and provide information about claims or accounts, prepare reports, and maintain records and files related to collection work.
• Calculate, prepare, and issue documents related to accounts such as invoices, inventory reports, account statements, and other financial statements using computerized systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Bilingual: French/English required for the position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts receivable, collections, or related experience
• Completed Post Secondary Education from an accredited college/university.
• Previous experience with ERP and integrated accounting systems.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.

• Knowledge of collections and best practices.
• Competency in MS Office Suite, internet navigation, and data entry experience.
• Ability to take direction and to make independent decisions in a dynamic environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with customers.
• Active listener who can effectively problem solve and think outside the box.
• Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and true commitment to customers and team members.
• Confidence and positive attitude are a must!

New to the Sign Industry? What is Training Like?

• 3 weeks of focused training time followed by ongoing support by team members
• Majority of time training is focused on: accounting, computer systems, products, phones/customers, sales/service, distribution, web store, safety, human resources, and reports.
• Split between break-out session and hands-on learning environment.
