Our Food Production Team is looking for a fantastic person to join us as a Bake Team Member. If you like the sound of us so far, keep reading to see if you have the experience and skills needed for this rewarding role!
About the Role:
As a baker, you will prepare a variety of baked goods. You will follow existing recipes, and prepare large quantities of muffins, breads, cookies, and other baked goods. You will also be responsible for maintaining and cleaning all baking equipment. You will also be responsible for fulfilling picnic requirements including but not limited to preparing and packing sandwiches, and maintaining sandwich ingredient inventory.
Some of the things you’ll get paid to do:
Production Duties
High volume food production & baking including, cookies, muffins, croissants and loaves
Organize, scale, and portion food items
Daily bakery preparations and planning
Organizing, prepare & produce sandwiches
Work as a team to complete daily quotas and tasks
Packaging Duties
Portion product according to orders
Ensure that items being portioned meet our quality standard
Cleaning Duties
Help with waste removal
Maintain a clean working area
Clean-up at the end of the shift
About You
Must-haves
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous baking or kitchen experience
Additional Skills
Understanding of food safety
Positive attitude, with an ability to motivate others to get things done right
Dedicated to continual success
Forward-thinking
Strong attendance record
Works well as a team or individual
Ability to work on your feet for an 8-hour shift
Ability to lift a max. 50lbs
Attention to cleanliness
Ability to read, write and speak English
Follow written and verbal instructions
Knowledge of Google Suite
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Nice-to-haves
Experience working in a busy kitchen or production facility
Experience with forklifts and pump trucks
Food Safety Certificate
First Aid Training
Food Handler’s Certificate
G Driver’s License
