Mike’s Bar and Grill is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Kitchen Manager. As the Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food and service.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Kitchen Manager in planning, organizing, and supervising daily kitchen operations.
• Help develop and maintain standard operating procedures for food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Assist in creating innovative and delicious menus while considering food cost and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to hire, train, and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Maintain inventory levels, monitor food costs, and minimize waste through effective control and ordering practices.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and uphold sanitation standards.
• Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among staff members.
• Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional culinary skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and menu development.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high food quality and presentation standards.
• Proficient in food cost management and inventory control.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce them effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
