CHANEL is currently looking for a temporary full-time Assistant Brand Manager - Beauty, for our corporate offices located in Toronto. This is a temporary maternity leave replacement until August 2022.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As an Assistant Brand Manager – Beauty, you will work in direct collaboration with the Brand Manager to execute the Marketing plans for CHANEL Fragrances & Beauty. You will be responsible for the coordination and production of promotional materials, development of marketing guidelines and liaising with the Sales Force. You will also complete various business analyses under the direction of the Brand Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Development and production of promotional materials and coordinating with suppliers

  • Coordinate the production of support materials to meet the needs of the business – ensuring work is on time, within budget and respecting brand guidelines

  • Sourcing and working with suppliers and ensure best costs while following CSR guidelines and ensuring timely execution and quality production

  • Creating POs and working closely with finance team to ensure proper budget classifications

Marketing support: Presentations / Books / Guidelines

  • Assist in the development of PowerPoint presentations as required

  • Participate in the preparation and presentation of the seasonal key meetings (retailer meetings, sales meetings)

  • Ensure the production of the marketing tools are completed for each campaign


Coordination with MPOS team

  • Support the merchandising POS team with the creation and implementation of campaign guidelines

  • Assure the merchandising direction is uniform on all points of sale and in accordance of the brand image

Forecast

  • Assist the Brand Manager in the forecasting of campaigns and all collateral materials

  • Monitor and suggest replenishing orders for all non-saleable elements (testers, samples, makeup tools…)

Analysis

  • Measure the effectiveness & performance of various marketing initiatives

  • Participate in competitive reviews, market studies and any other analysis that would assist the marketing team to better understand the business opportunities within the Canadian market

Retailer Communication

  • Prepare communication on marketing programs (such as W5 communication for SDM or ITL for the Bay…)

Market visit

  • Ensure the flawless execution of the campaign guidelines, pictures of stores and post mortem feedbacks

  • Competitive review

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following background:

  • 3+ years of work experience in a similar role

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business and/or Marketing

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong organization skills

  • Timeline driven and proven ability to prioritize

  • Excellent communication skills and team player

  • Bilingual (English and French), a strong asset
