Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Accountant to join our team. The Assistant Accountant will support the accounting department in various tasks including accounts receivable, accounts payable, account analysis, financial services, account reconciliation, budgeting, and bank reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Duties: - Assist with accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections - Support accounts payable activities, such as reviewing and processing vendor invoices and reconciling statements - Conduct account analysis to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies - Assist with financial services tasks, including preparing financial reports and assisting with budgeting - Perform account reconciliation to ensure all transactions are properly recorded - Collaborate with team members to complete month-end and year-end closing procedures - Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports - Maintain accurate and organized financial records - Utilize accounting software to input and track financial data - Provide general administrative support to the accounting department Skills: - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices - Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications - Familiarity with budgeting processes - Knowledge of bank reconciliation procedures This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation.
