My client, a large water utilities client in the South East, are seeking an individual to join them on a permanent staff basis in to their Asset Management team.The position of Asset Planner will predominantly be assisting in the development of the long term asset plan for the Hampshire region.The JobAs an Asset Planner, your core objective would be to assist the production of the long term asset plan for the Hampshire area, delivering the company’s strategic objectives and inform price review processes. You will be building and optimising an area plan, using risk based decision making within the constraints of a TOTEX environment to ensure outcomes and regulatory commitments are met.This role will give you internal role exposure through collaborating with the Heads of Delivery/Function, Programme Manager, Project Managers, Area risk managers and asset strategy manager on risks and issues that might affect the workstream & Tranche outcomes and benefits.The client preferably seek someone with a background in Waste Water or Water. If you have previous Operational and Asset Management, data review, gap analysis or profiling experience, it would be beneficial.You Will Be
  • An excellent communicator with a natural ability to build credibility to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, computer proficiency, and presentation of findings.
  • Experienced in demonstrating an understanding of company drivers, outputs and serviceability targets.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of risk assessments and risk management.
Your Core Responsibilities Will Be
  • Driving excellence in Health and Safety ensuring H&S management.
  • Ensuring investment options across the Asset Lifecycle Process are aligned to business objectives and also realises the desired outcomes and benefits.
  • Ensuring the investment options drive optimal cost asset efficiency from the asset base.
  • Supporting Integrated business plan development, management, optimisation, delivery and monitoring for the Hampshire area.
  • Facilitating risk and value workshops.
  • Supporting the creation and implementation of 25 years management plans in line with regulatory frameworks such as DWMP, WRMP, etc.
  • Creating the right balance between the needs of the company, teams and individuals. Making best use of resources within constraints for maximum advantage and efficiency. Developing a plan for own function and understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of individuals.
  • Carrying out investment plan optioneering, whole life costing and cost benefit analysis.
