Hamsar, a Methode Electronics company, is seeking an Assembler is to assemble products in an assigned manufacturing area. This could include but is not limited to Electronics, Lighting, Wiring, SMT, or Populating/Soldering areas. You will report to the Team Leader of the assigned area and Production Supervisors.Hamsar is a Canadian manufacturing success story. Founded over 30 years ago, the company has grown to be a world leader in designing and manufacturing custom lighting and electronic solutions for specialized vehicle markets through our engineering expertise and customer follow-through to elevate the vehicle experience.
Requirements:
- Products are assembled according to Work Instructions and Control Plans found in the black binder
- Required documentation is completed (EPPB)
- Materials are organized and placed for optimal production usage
- Maintain rate, speed, and quality to ensure efficiency and productivity targets are met
- Report to the appropriate work area as required on a daily basis
- Rotate within assigned work areas with minimal production disruption as required by Team Leaders
- Maintain production area organization
- Ensure tidy and organized work areas (tables & racks) throughout the shift
- Clean up as required
- Work areas to be cleaned prior to the end of each shift
- Ensure proper use of reject and re-work bins
- Return items and tools to appropriate area at completion of use or at the end of the shift
- Ensure maintenance checks are performed on the equipment based on the maintenance schedule
- The safe operation and correct use of equipment
- All machine repair requirements are immediately reported to the Team Leader and/or Production Supervisor(s)
- Follow reporting procedures to enable a good working relationship with the Team Leader
- Report production or product issues to Team Leaders as required
- Work in conjunction with other team members and team leaders as required
- Observe health & safety, and environmental requirements of the company while on the job at all time
- Wear protective equipment as required and report any unsafe actions to the supervisor immediately
- Other duties as assigned by the Team Leader
- High School Diploma
- At least one year in manufacturing
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
