Art Gallery Administrator

Job content

Candidate will;

• work in the art gallery/gift shop
• organize & display artwork
• be responsible for customer service, sales and shop management, including opening, balancing cash, displaying artwork, packaging purchases, POS and data entry
• help plan and organize our summer artisan market
• help plan and prepare items for the Watershed Artworks Luminary Festival
• help generate content and maintain Watershed’s social media presence. Requires competency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.

Assets;

Artistic background. Experience in art & design creating pottery, paintings, etc.

Comfortable working in Excel, Squarespace, Instagram and Facebook.

Candidate must be 15 - 30 years old and a Canadian citizen or permanent resident as this is a Canada Summer Jobs opportunity. The position will be 35 hours per week, including weekends for 8 weeks, May 20 - July 14. Hourly wage is $17.40/ hour
