Role: Architectural Technologist

Location: Martensville, Sk.

Start Date: We are looking to fill this position immediately.

This is an on-site position. Potential candidates must live in a commuting distance or be willing to relocate before starting work.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a productive Architectural Technologist to work within our growing team. You will be bringing to this role your interest in residential design, creativity, and a love for the intricate building details. We pride ourselves in creating a collaborative, work hard/play hard environment with a culture that encourages growth in skills and knowledge.

Your exceptional attention to detail will be greatly valued when working on our original designs for our growing list of clients. As a self starter, you will be able to prioritize and organize effectively and take accountability for your important tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop drawings for intricate residential construction details.
• Complete comprehensive sets of construction drawings for permitting, engineering, and working drawings for the building of our residential projects.
• Renderings of the plans for client presentations..
• Assist in design development and finalization.
• Coordinate third party consultants, contractors, engineers, civil officials, and clients.
• Administration duties.
• Attend necessary client and site meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma from an accredited Canadian Architectural Technology program or better.
• 4+ years’ experience with a solid understanding of building systems and detailing.
• A strong understanding of the Canadian Building Code.
• Exemplary communication skills and proven ability to interact effectively and professionally.
• Proficiency in Chief Architect Premier would be considered a strong asset.
• Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Photoshop is an asset.
• A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective time management skills to ensure deadlines are met.
• A valid driver’s license.
