Dans vos fonctions, vous serez appelé à :
  • Supporter les programmes avions A220 et autres, en tant que spécialiste M&P au sein d’une équipe spécialisée dans l‘ingénierie.
  • Fournir expertise et leadership technique afin de résoudre des enjeux de conception, de certification, de conformité, en collaboration avec les fournisseurs, les opérations, la qualité, le support aux opérateurs et la chaîne d’approvisionnement.
  • Travailler en équipe multi-disciplinaire sur les opportunités de réduction des coûts, sur des améliorations de performance et à assurer la conformité de la conception avec les requis de la discipline matériaux et procédés.
  • Effectuer des revues techniques et approbation de dessin, de documents de fabrication et de plans et rapports de tests ou de qualification.
  • Assurer le respect des requis environnementaux dans le cadre des programmes avions.
  • Fournir une visibilité claire à l’équipe de gestion concernant l’état des enjeux en cours, ou l’émergence d’une nouvelle problématique.
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec l’équipe de support à la production, afin de supporter la résolution de problèmes ou l’amélioration des techniques de production
  • Travailler en équipe avec l’équipe d’ingénierie Airbus, peu importe oû elle se trouve.
  • Supporter les non-conformités en production, via une rotation de travail de fin de semaine parmi les membres de l’équipe. Ceci dit, le travail s’effectue normalement du lundi au vendredi.
En tant que candidat idéal,
  • Vous possédez un diplôme en ingénierie des matériaux, métallurgie, mécanique ou chimique
  • Vous avez un minimum de dix (10) ans d’expérience dans l’industrie aéronautique, directement lié aux technologies de matériaux métalliques ou composites dans les structures d’aéronefs.
  • Vous êtes en mesure de supporter le travail de soir et weekend - au besoin, et selon une rotation prévues entre les membres de l’équipe pour le support MRB.
  • Vous possédez une vaste expérience des matériaux utilisés en aéronautique, ainsi qu’une compréhension fine des mécanismes d’usure, de corrosion, et des pratiques d’assemblage et de protection des matériaux.
  • Vous possédez une expérience pratique dans au moins un des domaines suivants:
    • tests de matériaux métalliques
    • qualification des forgés, extrudés, moulés
    • traitements de surfaces de matériaux aréonautiques tels que placage, anodisation, peintures
  • Vous êtes à l’aide dans l’utilisation et l’interprétation des standards industriels tels que SAE ASTM, EN, spécifications militaires.
  • Vousnpossédez des qualités de leader, de résolution de problème, de gestion du temps et des priorités
  • Vous communiquez clairement et avec aisance autant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit, en anglais et en françcais
  • vous avez une connaissance pratique des logiciels Catia, Enovia, et des suites MS Office et Google.
  • Vous avez l’expérience et avez déjà obtenu une qualification Material Review Board (MRB)

In your role, you will:
  • As a part of a specialized group within the engineering team, support the A220 aircraft program in the capacity of Materials and Process specialist
  • Provide primary technical expertise and leadership in resolving Design, Certification, and Compliance issues interacting with the Suppliers, Operations, Quality, Service Engineering, Customer Support and Supply Chain departments
  • Work in a Multi-Functional Team on cost reduction opportunities, work on structural modifications and ensure that designs meet all material and processes requirements
  • Perform technical reviews and approval of Engineering Drawings, Manufacturing Techniques Sheets, Forgings Qualification, Test Reports and Qualification Reports
  • Ensure redesign activities meet environmental regulations impacting A220
  • Provide clear visibility to management of the status and/or emerging issues related to the supported activities
  • Work in close collaboration with Liaison Engineers by providing timely M&P technical expertise / dispositions to a variety of manufacturing and assembly issues
  • Engage with the M&P Core specialists (Airbus Commercial) team offsite to resolve key technical issues
  • Exchange information and collaborate with other FAL sites (Mobile) to ensure sharing of technical knowledge
  • Document dispositions on M&P work files
  • This job opening is from Monday to Friday (40 hours), however you will be asked to support the evening shift as well as the weekends on a rotation basis for MRB support.

As our ideal candidate,
  • You hold a degree in materials engineering, metallurgy, mechanical engineering or chemical engineering
  • You have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Aerospace industry directly related to metallic and composites materials use in Aircraft Structures. Previous experience with certification of a new aircraft is an asset.
  • You are available to support the evening shift as well as the weekends on a rotation basis for MRB support
  • You have an extended knowledge in the materials used in the aerospace industry, understand the mechanisms of wear, corrosion and are at ease with aerospace materials assembly and protection methods
  • You have hands-on experience with one or more of the following fields:
    • Metallic material testing and allowables establishment.
    • Familiarity with qualification of forgings, extrusions, castings and other material forms
    • Good understanding of aerospace surface finishing, including plating, anodizing, and organic finishing
    • Aerospace fasteners selection, qualification, and installation requirements
  • You are at ease with aerospace industry standards such as SAE ASTM, and OEM specifications, exposure to Federal and Military specifications could be an asset
  • You have shown strong leadership, problem solving, project, and time/priority management skills in your past assignments
  • You have excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English and have good understanding of French
  • You are able to work in a cross functional team environment and interact on a daily basis with other professionals and technicians
  • You have a good working knowledge of computer software such as CATIA, Enovia, and Microsoft Office
  • You have Material Review Board (MRB) experience, an asset.
