As an Advisor on the Project Management Team, you’ll support the employee wellness program in place for over 100,000 employees across Alberta, in addition to providing project management for a wide variety of health, safety and wellness initiatives.

Description:

In this position, you’ll work with a high degree of independence to create effective wellness programs for Alberta Health Services employees. You’ll use your expertise to design, implement, evaluate and enhance health promotion strategies in a collaborative and coordinated way. You’ll develop resources and communications, deliver education and respond to emerging employee wellness needs. In this role, you’ll also use your strong project management skills to support and enhance a wide variety of health, safety and wellness initiatives. This position can opt to work in a remote, hybrid, or in-office setting (location negotiable in Alberta).

Required Qualifications:

Post-secondary degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, Health Sciences, Health Research, Kinesiology, Community Development or related programs. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an organization of significant size and complexity, with a focus on human resources or health.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry, occupational health and safety industry and/or experience working in large organizations. Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability with problem solving, issues resolution, coaching and teaching, and the ability to function at a high level within teams. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communication and focus on providing an excellent employee experience. Excellent analytical and evidence-based decision-making skills. A demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development. Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

Project management certification and/or experience. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change. Knowledge of occupational health, safety and wellness best practices.
