Radiant Care Tabor / Pleasant Manor

Admissions Coordinator

Temporary / Full-Time Contract (Maternity Leave)

Position Summary

Job Description

Reporting to the CEO, the Admissions Coordinator manages all aspects of admissions and some project management within Radiant Care Tabor Manor and Radiant Care Pleasant Manor to meet the needs of the residents/tenants and to ensure the efficient preparation and occupancy for the homes within legislative and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Admissions
    • Management of the resident and tenant wait list, in accordance with established policy.
    • Management of the established admissions process (pre, during and post).
    • Management of tenant occupancy, which includes coordination with other departments to prepare rooms and apartments for new tenants.
    • Liaise and consult with Director of Care (s) resident/families and the CHCSS for LTC placement.
    • Work Collaboratively with our Supportive Housing Manager in the placement of new tenants based on their needs.
    • Conduct site tours on a scheduled basis and answer prospective tenant/resident inquires.
    • Oversight and management of the sale process for life lease units.
  • Project Management
    • Management of the successful implementation of a multi-year apartment renewal and retrofitting strategy within defined timelines, (10 week turnaround per unit).
    • Work collaboratively with our contractors to ensure quality and timeliness of their work against project schedule.
  • General
    • Strong organizational skills and accuracy in reporting, tracking, and recordkeeping in accordance with the requirements of the organization and related agencies or government bodies.
    • Liaise with internal functional program staff and external vendors to achieve organizational objectives and to meet resident’s and tenant’s needs (Supportive Housing, Finance, Therapeutic Recreation, Maintenance, Foundation, Contractors, etc.).
    • Assist, maintain and update pertinent policies and manuals as needed.
    • Oversight of the quality improvement plan.
    • Other duties as assigned by the CEO.
Qualifications
  • Agrees and supports the objectives and philosophy of the Organization and displays a caring, respectful attitude towards residents, families, and team members.
  • Sensitive to the unique, ethnic and faith community of Radiant Care.
  • Strong ambassador of Radiant Care.
  • Direct and firm, yet diplomatic and caring approach
  • Requires University Degree, College Diploma, or combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
  • Willingness to upgrade and maintain personal and educational qualifications as required by the changing demands of the job.
  • Familiarity with the InterRAI CHA assessment tool.
  • Working knowledge of the regulations dictated by the Government of Ontario and Quality Improvement Initiatives.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, personal, customer service, written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordination of construction sub-trades.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in driving and achieving results.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaboration with a variety of departments and staff.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to lead by example, coach and mentor others to be successful.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and together with others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literate, including demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (esp. Excel) and Point Click Care.
  • Knowledge of Senior Housing and Service Sector.
