Edmonton Zone Continuing Care provides services through five main program areas: Home Living, Supportive Living, Facility Living, Transition Services and Palliative Care. Continuing Care has an immediate opening for an Administrative Support IV. Working with a diverse team of individuals in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting and supporting, achieving and maintaining effective and efficient operations. Working under minimal guidance and direction, will utilize their enhanced skills to respond to financial inquiries, process transactions, and resolve invoice discrepancies based on applicable processes, procedures, and guidelines, Scheduling Personnel (ESP) application to complete complex and often urgent staff scheduling tasks within short timelines in a busy, high pressure office environment. Duties include, but are not limited to verification of invoices, liaising with Accounts Payable, providing Added Care support to management, data entry into a variety of information systems, collecting and organizing information for confidential reports, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, filing, photocopying, faxing, and assisting with other department processes, as required. The successful candidate will have the ability to establish priorities, proactively identify problems and issues of concern, and initiate problem resolutions. At the time of interview, you may be required to demonstrate your computer knowledge and proficiency by completing a hands-on assessment. You must demonstrate sufficient typing speed to meet workload demand and navigate through various computer programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Visio, Outlook and Internet. Minimum of 3 years secretarial experience preferably in a health-related environment. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must demonstrate excellent organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively. Excellent time management skills. Ability to take initiative and handle a variety of assignments with attention to detail. Excellent aptitude for interpersonal relations combined with an ability to interact with senior management and other team members in a professional and efficient manner. An excellent attendance record, reliability, and personal suitability must be demonstrated through your employment record or references.
