With recent acquisitions, strategic initiatives and significant organic growth, we are seeking Canadian Tax Professionals to join us and be a key part of our Tax Team as we continue our rapid growth plans.


About the role:

DMCL Chartered Professional Accountantsis looking for an Administrative Assistant for our Tax Group in our Downtown Vancouver office. As an Administrative Assistant, you will support DMCL’s Tax Partners and play a pivotal role as the primary point of contact for administrative and support matters. The ideal candidate will have strong work ethic, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills!


How you’ll make a difference:

  • Provide administrative support to Partners and practice management teams;
  • Primary contact for clients;
  • Manage communication and correspondence for Tax Group clients (send correspondence, meet and greet clients in an efficient, professional and friendly manner);
  • Responsible for incoming/outgoing mail and deliveries;
  • Prepare client billings and statements;
  • Compile client financial packages (corporate year ends and tax returns);
  • Coordinate meetings, including off-site meetings and conferences;
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other executive and administrative assistants to facilitate good communication, help coordinate joint projects and serve as backup for other assistances as needed;
  • Assist Partners and professional staff by preparing proposals and other documents, scanning, organizing paperwork, filing (paper and electronic), and other administrative duties where necessary to ensure smooth operations within the team.

Who you are:

  • You have minimum 2-3 years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant, preferably in a public practice or professional services firm.
  • Experience with dealings with the Canada Revenue Agency and taxes is an asset;
  • Ability to develop a positive rapport and working smoothly with clients in regards to the flow for information between the Tax Group and clients as required;
  • Detail oriented individual with superior organizational skills;
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Ability to work in a confidential environment and handle sensitive information with complete discretion;
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines;
  • Strong MS Office and Adobe Acrobat computer skills with the ability to grasp new technological tools.
