Title :Administrative Assistant

Employee Working Location :In-person (Burlington, ON)

Employment Status : Co-op/Summer Student (2 Months)

Salary Band : $16.55 /hour

In this role, you will :

  • Responds to inquiries regarding the program assessing client eligibility, creating files in database, updating files as required.
  • Helps with the packing of meals and the greeting of volunteers.
  • Answers telephone calls and redirects and attends to in person inquiries.
  • Prepares meal bags for next day deliveries with correct tags and volunteer routes.
  • Takes requests or cancellations from clients and volunteers.
  • Provides reports as require.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

What we are looking for :

  • Customer service experience in person and on the telephone is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Self starter with strong organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to be a supportive and productive team member.
  • A full and valid G license is an asset.

Working conditions :

  • The majority of work is performed in a friendly office environment that is clean and comfortable. located at the Burlington Branch of the Canadian Red Cross.
  • Hours of service are based on 30-hour week Monday to Friday.
  • Please note that there is no relocation package for this position.
