Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager Rehabilitation Services and Orthopedic Assessment Clinic (OAC) Annapolis Valley, and the Manager Oncology & Ambulatory Care Programs Annapolis Valley,

The incumbent provides office managerial support to a Manager(s) within Nova Scotia Health. The incumbent functions as a primary point of contact for the Manager responding to general information requests related to the office, or referring calls to others as appropriate. Provides confidential administrative service with high quality of organizational and communication skills to assist and support the Manager in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the office on a daily basis.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of a recognized office administration program/business program/secretarial program required
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of administrative experience OR a combination of equivalent education training, and experience required
  • Ability to use Microsoft Windows and all components of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of computers is essential with proficiency in word processing, database management, SAP, SharePoint, spreadsheet programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NSH programs, functions and organizational structure
  • Demonstrated planning, organizing, prioritizing and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including the ability to take and transcribe minutes
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills including ability to work as a team member and ability to foster collaborative relationships
  • Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, problem solve and utilize good judgment in decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
  • Commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices and organizational health
  • A skills test will be included as part of the selection process
Hours of Work
  • Permanent, Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
Salary Information

$20.95 - $26.19/hourly
