Join the momentum. We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our growing Insolvency team for our St. John’s, NL office. Committed to helping all stakeholders through financial challenges, MNP Limited is one of the largest insolvency practices in Canada. For more than 50 years, our experienced team of Government-Licensed Trustees and advisors have been working collaboratively with lenders and debtors at all levels to help protect their interests.
Provides administrative support related to bankruptcy filings
- Process documents related to bankruptcy filings
- Prepare forms and set-up payment arrangements as directed
- Complete appropriate searches, background and/or credit checks
- Process bank deposits and complete deposit verifications
- Pull reports and reviewing client statuses for follow-up
- Data entry into Ascend software
- Process payments (cheques, wire transfers, etc) using Ascend software
File and document management
- File documents
- Open, close, organize and maintain insolvency files
- Create, format, assemble, and proofread drafts
- Maintain all incoming and outgoing courier packages and mail
- Scan and E-file documents
- Prepare letters as directed, using template letter formats
- Respond to inquiries
- Experience working in a Professional Services environment, particularly in insolvency, is an asset
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in an administrative or support position
- Intermediate to advanced technical skills in MS Office; including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Experience in answering and directing customer phone calls through a phone system
