Robert Half is looking for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk available to start immediately. Located in Guelph, Ontario, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary opening. In this dynamic department, there is an opportunity for career growth and quick advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk position will require to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

Your responsibilities

• Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
• Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
• Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
• Provide support during internal and external audits
• Complete full-cycle A/P
• Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
• Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
• Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
• Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
  

Requirements

• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
• High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
• Proven knowledge of account reconciliation
• Knowledge of Approved Invoices
• Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly desired
• Perform Data Entry experience desired
• Code Invoices experience
• Foundational knowledge in Coding Invoices
• Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
• Competent with spreadsheets and databases
