Accounts Payable Administrator

Colas Canada - Edmonton Office

Job Overview

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our Team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Accounts Payable Administrator will be responsible for facilitating the accounts payable function for multiple Colas Canada Subsidiaries.

Main Responsibilities

  • Scanning or uploading invoices into OnBase for processing
  • Communicating with subsidiaries and vendors on inquiries
  • Processing non-PO and PO invoices in JDE
  • Processing invoices in all other applicable queues in OnBase
  • Reviewing issue queues in OnBase and determining corrective action when necessary
  • Administration of accounts payable Outlook inbox
  • Reconciliation of vendor statements
  • Inquiring with vendors on missing invoices based on statement reconciliation
  • Completing stop payment requests and submitting to Accounting Assistant for processing
  • Communicating with Senior Accountants on accounts payable issues that arise
  • Training seasonal Accounts Payable Clerks on processing accounts payable
  • Other accounts payable related projects assigned by Corporate Controller and/or VP Finance

What You Bring

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe software
  • JDE or OnBase experience would be considered an asset
  • Ability to work will in a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based environment
  • Adaptability to a changing work environment

Education

Diploma in accounting, finance, office administration, or related field from a recognized post-secondary institution considered an asset, but not required.
