Reporting to the Controller, the Part-time Accounting Clerk processes invoices and payments and supports the Finance Department with various tasks. This is a temporary part-time position working 24 hours per week, currently required for 3 months, with an extension possible.
Responsibilities:
  • Process A/P invoices and issue payments
  • Prepare A/R invoices and process incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Liaise with vendors for payments, statements, and other enquiries
  • Prepare monthly credit card reconciliations
  • File GST and PST returns
  • Other tasks as required
Qualifications:
  • Experience with processing A/P and A/R invoices and payments
  • Accounting experience is an asset
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other cloud-based accounting systems
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
  • Good verbal and written English skills.
  • Proficient in the use of computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite
