Key Components of the Role include but not limited to:

  • Excellent leadership and time management skills
  • Maintain regular in-person contact with site supervisors
  • Ensure that all health and safety guidelines are followed as per KAEFER’s standards
  • Assist Journeyman in setup, moving materials, and cleanup
  • Work with your Foreman to make sure jobs are completed on time and at our high standard.
  • Ensure site safety, completion of pre-use equipment inspections, and participate in safety talks.
  • Perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks while learning to perform at the journeyman level in the insulation and sheet metal trade
  • Receive routine assignments and work under supervision to apply (and/or remove) insulation and metal materials to mechanical systems as noted below
  • Handle various insulation and metal materials and finishing products
  • Use a variety of mechanical and hand power tools
  • Prepare surfaces for the application of insulation and sheet metal
  • Measure and cut insulation and metal to cover surfaces using tape measure, handsaw, knife, or scissors
  • Keep equipment, hand power tools, and workspaces in a safe and clean condition
  • Ability to learn procedures primarily through oral instruction and observations
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes to provide quality customer service
  • Work cooperatively with customers and company employees
  • Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or other people
  • May require the performance of other essential and marginal functions
  • Must be physically fit due to heavy lifting and material moving on site
  • Valid Driver’s License

Requirements:


  • Must pass Fitness to Work testing including A&D
  • Fall Protection
  • Standard First Aid
  • GSMA Course (Sask Polytec) (will register upon hire)
  • Proof of Hours (Reference Letter from past Employers or ROE’s)

Expected start date: Sept 20, 2021

Shift: 10 x 4


10 Hours per day
